Empowed Mythology
The series "Empowered Mythology" reimagines the narratives of women from Indian mythology, transforming traditional depictions of dependence and subservience into powerful, empowering portrayals of justice, strength, and agency. These pieces are part of a series that seeks to challenge and reinterpret the patriarchal lens through which these stories have been historically told, offering a contemporary voice to figures like Draupadi, Sati and Sita.
This series reflects my ongoing exploration of justice and equality, using mythology as a mirror to examine societal structures and advocate for gender empowerment. By deconstructing and reconstructing these iconic tales, I aim to create a dialogue that bridges the past with the present, celebrating the resilience of women and their capacity to redefine their destinies.
Ultimately, my work aspires to inspire audiences to question inherited narratives, embrace diverse perspectives, and recognize the enduring power of women’s voices in shaping a more equitable world.
